THEME

TALENT DEVELOPMENT

As a partner of Oranje-Rood and main sponsor of Ladies 1, Crowe wants to contribute to getting Ladies 1 back into the big league.

Crowe does this by working together on talent development. For this we have started a joint program in which the talents of our Corporate Finance department are connected to Ladies 1 Oranje-Rood.

ACTIVATION PROGRAMS

BRAINSTORMING SESSION

We started with a brainstorming session about the parallels between top sports and business and what we can do together to help each other further: How do you develop talent? How do you give each other feedback? What can you learn from other top athletes such as the Heroes Den Bosch? And what does sheep herding have to do with this?

FEEDBACK TRAINING

The second joint session with Ladies 1 and our Corporate finance team consisted of feedback training. How do you give and receive feedback? What role do group dynamics play? Sometimes a bit uncomfortable, confrontational but always constructive. In short, a useful experience for the individual and team.

MATCH WATCHING

During the winter break, Ladies 1 along with the Corporate Finance team experienced a top basketball premier league game at another Crowe partner in top sports: Heroes Den Bosch. What can you learn from how basketball is defended and attacked? Whoever performs best in rebounds usually wins the basketball game; is that substantially different from tackle-backs in field hockey?

SHEEP HERDING

The run-up to the field season is dominated by the hunt for promotion to the big league. This requires working together as a team, sometimes taking the lead even in unexpected situations. Unexpected was the sheep herding that both teams got to do on a beautiful Saturday morning in February.
